Responsibilities: The principal responsibilities of the IT Engineer are to: • Support the Line Manager in ensuring that all devices and equipment at the newsroom is functioning without interruption at all. • Respond in a timely and efficient manner to all technical issues and problems that arise. • Perform routine and critical maintenance tasks in an efficient and timely manner as directed by the Line Manager. • Ensure technical competence and updating of all operational staff to perform their roles. • Update knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis. • Independent technical troubleshooting and logical problem analysis in a high pressure and uncertain environment. • Ability to plan and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and resolve problems. • Ability to adapt approach and behavior to changes in the work environment.
